Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Sustainable Investing.
In this role, you will lead our efforts in integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into our investment strategies as well as play a key role in developing and innovative investment solutions in the space.
You will drive collaboration across the organization to promote sustainable investing practices and deliver value to our clients.
Primary
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainable investing strategy aligned with the company's goals and values.

Lead the integration of ESG considerations into investment research, portfolio construction, and risk management processes.

Engage with clients, prospects, and stakeholders to promote awareness and understanding of sustainable investing principles and our investment solutions.

Collaborate with investment teams, research analysts, and other stakeholders to identify ESG opportunities and risks across asset classes.

Monitor and evaluate ESG trends, regulations, and industry best practices to stay abreast of developments in sustainable investing.

Provide thought leadership and contribute to industry forums, conferences, and publications to enhance the company's reputation as a leader in sustainable investing
Exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management and terminations.

Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite.
Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis.
Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, environmental science or related field and a minimum of 9 years' relevant experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 13 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 9 years' relevant experience.

Minimum of 3 year's managerial and/or work leadership experience
Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, metrics, and reporting standards, such as SASB, TCFD, and SDGs.

Demonstrated track record of successful investment management.

Proven track record of developing and implementing sustainable investing strategies that deliver positive financial and impact outcomes.

Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Passion for sustainable investing and commitment to driving positive change through responsible investment practices.

Experience communicating insights to internal and external stakeholders
Experience leading in a team environment

The pay range for this position is $170,092.
91 - $283,488.
18 Annual (USD).
The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
