Opportunity:
The Commercial Account Executive position at Sungard AS is a pure hunter role. We are seeking an experienced complex sales professional that has a strong work ethic, high aptitude for learning and who is seeking a position for growth. We are looking for this individual to unearth and close new business with prospective customers below $50mm in revenue. Your #1 goal is to leverage the tools provided to meet and exceed quota. This position provides an opportunity to sell leading edge solutions for one of the premier organizations in the industry.
About You:
We are seeking a sales professional that has a strong work ethic, high aptitude for learning and who is seeking a position for growth and expansion of responsibility. You must have the proven ability to listen, extrapolate information, and leverage resources to effectively provide solutions to customer. The #1 goal is to leverage the tools, resources and support structure provided to meet and exceed a revenue sales quota.
Responsibilities:
Utilize leads generated from marketing and internal lead generation resources and/or self-generated leads to build a pipeline of net new business equivalent to 4X annual quota targets in a defined sales territory.
Grow Sungard AS revenue by closing net new logos.
Work collaboratively with technical and executive contacts in the account to review current and future business challenges and align the appropriate Sungard solution(s) to solve the business need.
Build and present solution proposals and pricing to executive leadership teams.
Negotiate contract terms and close business to retire quota.
Requirements:
Demonstrated track record of success in selling of complex technology products and/or services (i.e. Software, Colocation, Managed Services, IT Outsourcing, Disaster Recovery, Cloud, Security Solutions, etc...) to Enterprise and Mid-market Clients.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple functional organizations to serve a customer need
Key competencies: leadership, drive for results, dealing with ambiguity, customer orientation, communication skills
Preferred Qualities:
2+ years of successful sales in a technical environment preferred.
College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
