Our PAs/NPs are expected to provide safe clinical decisions and genuine, personalized care to patients within the clinical area of practice. Essential Functions - Duties & Responsibilities
Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
Performs history and physical exams, MRI reviews, post-operative visits and manages patient triage encounters.
Works closely with fellow Physician Extenders for imaging reviews, patient symptom discussions, medication issues, medical/surgical complications.
Orders appropriate imaging and diagnostic studies (MRI v. CT, EMG, lab work, EKG, chest X-rays, etc.), as well as knowing their indications and contraindications.
Interprets necessary pre-operative testing results, clearances, reports, referral responses, labs, etc. and develop appropriate plan of care/manage the results according to current protocols.
Completes pre-operative review of all records, clearing patients for their next day of surgery.
Must have basic knowledge of X-rays and imaging pertaining to the lumbar and cervical spine. Must be able to differentiate between T1 and T2 images, axial v. sagittal, various X-ray types and manipulate the imaging system accordingly.
Develops an appropriate plan of care for pre-operative and inter-operative surgical cancellations.
Manages and fully understands the worker's compensation/LOP patient process in the clinic.

Qualifications & Requirements
Graduated an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Must possess current state license where practicing and be nationally certified
Demonstrates knowledge and compliance of HIPAA regulations
Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving skills
Must have excellent time management skills
Must have excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office, diagnostic imaging systems and EMR
Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Must possess extensive knowledge of orthopedic, neurological and spinal anatomy and physiology and understand/perform the appropriate exam techniques for evaluation.
Must be comfortable with pre- and post-operative patient management in a surgical setting.
Must have knowledge of pre-operative contraindicated medications and supplements.
Must have general pharmaceutical knowledge of common medications ordered for pre- and post-operative patient management: antibiotic therapy, pain management, post-op nausea, etc.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
